GRATERFORD—Nothing went right on the offensive end of the basketball court for the Pope John Paul II boys early in Saturday afternoon's Pioneer Athletic Conference contest at Perkiomen Valley. But while they finished the first quarter with just four points on the board, the good news for the Golden Panthers was that they allowed the Vikings to score only a manageable 11 points during that same time.

WRESTLING: Owen J. Roberts tops Spring-Ford to remain on top of PAC 10

BUCKTOWN—Owen J. Roberts took over sole possession of first place in the Pioneer Athletic Conference late Saturday evening with a very convincing 37-20 decision over Spring-Ford.

PHOENIXVILLE–Perkiomen Valley’s girls basketball team saw a comfortable lead whittled to just four points by Phoenixville in the third quarter, but then the Vikings pulled away to win, 62-46, in Pioneer Athletic Conference action Thursday night.

BOYS BASKETBALL: Methacton topples Pottstown

POTTSTOWN–Methacton came up with three clutch plays down the stretch Thursday night, and those key plays turned out to be the difference in a 57-51 Pioneer Athletic Conference boys basketball win over Pottstown at Strom Gymnasium.

WORCESTER—In a Pioneer Athletic Conference boys basketball game at Methacton Wednesday evening, the host Warriors downed Pope John Paul II in a low scoring, but nonetheless exciting and fast-paced battle, 50-38.
