Mr. President – I ask you – Who really are the extremists?

Mr. President, I am tired, like many fiscal conservatives in this country, of being labeled by you as “an extremist”. These words come from a Chief Executive who has systematically (over the last 4 ¾ years) throw the county into a debt cycle that, if not stopped, will in the near future explode fiscally.

Here are some alarming facts:

–          The nation’s federal debt is growing at an alarming pace – increasing by more than $50,000 every second.

–          During Obama’s term in office, the federal debt has grown by approximately 70% (or 6.6 trillion dollars) ranging over 220+ years.

–          The Obama health care plan which was passed in the Democrat controlled House of Representatives by only one vote (with no Republicans votes whatsoever) is a fiscal disaster. Even Union bosses which are the President’s allies have admitted this.

–          The Congressional Budget Office (C.B.O) has already refuted Mr. Obama’s claim that ‘his’ healthcare plan will save a family of four $2,500 a year as a lie Instead the C.B.O. claims it will cost an American family of four $7,500 a year.

As an ordinary citizen who believes in fiscal sanity: living with one’s means, I am appalled by the way the federal government operates. I was upset when President Bush racked up $400B deficits during his term. I am, accordingly, upset with this President’s cavalier attitude with our nation’s debt. And I ask the public – who are the real extremists? Are they those who believe in fiscal prudence (like me)?  Or is this President who insists on supporting these outrageously huge and irresponsible deficits – the real extremist?

Perhaps future generations who will be paying this debt for decades to come, will determine that?
