Andhra Loyola College was established on December 9, 1953, by the Society of Jesus (Jesuits) belonging to the Andhra Province. The foundation stone for the college was laid by Dr. Sampurnanand, the then Chief Minister of Madras. The college was inaugurated by Dr. Pattabhi Sitaramayya, the then Vice-President of India.

Over the years, Andhra Loyola College expanded its academic offerings, introducing new courses and programs in response to the changing educational landscape and societal needs. The college emphasized holistic development, integrating academic excellence with extracurricular activities, sports, and community engagement.

Andhra Loyola College gained recognition for its commitment to quality education and received accreditation from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The college consistently maintained high standards in academics, infrastructure, and student development.

Through the decades, Andhra Loyola College evolved into a comprehensive educational institution, offering a wide array of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in arts, science, commerce, management, computer applications, and other fields.

The college remained rooted in the Jesuit philosophy, fostering an environment that encouraged critical thinking, ethical leadership, and a sense of social responsibility among its students. It emphasized holistic education, nurturing not just intellectual growth but also the development of moral character and social consciousness.

Andhra Loyola College has contributed significantly to the educational and social landscape of Andhra Pradesh. It has produced graduates who have excelled in various fields, contributing to the progress and development of the region and beyond.

As of my last update in January 2023, Andhra Loyola College continues to uphold its legacy of academic excellence, values-based education, and commitment to serving society. It stands as a beacon of learning, inspiring students to become responsible citizens and leaders in their respective fields.
